What we actually do

Ten services, all insulation: spray foam in both open and closed cell, attic insulation, blown-in cellulose and fiberglass, crawl space insulation, attic air sealing, metal building and pole barn foam, garage insulation, insulation removal, and light commercial work.

Roughly speaking, the residential work splits between older houses that never had enough insulation and newer houses that have enough insulation in the wrong places. The commercial and ag work is mostly steel buildings that drip in winter.

We do not upsell you into a bigger category. If a $600 air sealing job fixes the complaint, that is the job we quote, even though a $4,000 foam job is more interesting to sell.

How an estimate works

It starts on the phone. You describe the building, the room, and the symptom. Square footage helps, and so does the age of the house. From that we give you a real range on the call, not a callback and not a form.

If the range works, someone comes out and looks. That means getting into the attic or the crawl space with a light and a tape measure, not standing in the driveway. Then you get a written number that does not move unless the scope moves.

We will not give a final price without seeing the space. Attics hide things: knob and tube wiring, a bath fan venting into the insulation, a slow roof leak, old vermiculite that has to be tested. Any of those change the job, and finding them before the truck is loaded is the point of the walkthrough.

Why insulation matters this much here

Greeley sits in DOE climate zone 5B: cold winters, hot dry summers, and a daily temperature swing that can run 40 degrees. The attic target for this zone is R-49 to R-60, and a large share of pre-1980 Weld County attics measure out at R-19 or less.

Wind is the part people underestimate. Chinooks coming off the Front Range push air through any gap in a building envelope, and air moving through fiberglass strips its effective R-value while the gusts last. That is why we treat air sealing and insulation as one job rather than two products.

The financial side is real too. The federal 25C credit returns 30% of insulation and air sealing costs up to $1,200 per year, and Xcel Energy runs Colorado insulation rebates on top of it. We will tell you which parts of a job typically qualify.
